Mini roll label stock wound on a 2″ core with a maximum outer diameter of 4″. Mini rolls are sized for compact inkjet colour label printers whose internal roll compartment accepts a 2″ core spindle and a 4″ opening, including the Primera LX500, Epson CW-C4000, and Epson TM-C3500. We stock mini rolls in a range of widths and face materials for product labelling, food packaging, and retail applications.

Which printers require mini rolls

The 2″ core and 4″ OD limit is built into the roll compartment of smaller colour label printers. The Primera LX500 and Epson CW-C4000 are the most common models, along with the Epson TM-C3500. If your printer has a 2″ core spindle and a 4″ maximum roll diameter in its internal compartment, it requires mini rolls. Printers with a 3″ core spindle use standard roll sizes instead. If you are unsure, check your printer’s label roll specifications or contact our team with your printer model.

Running standard rolls on a mini-roll printer

Standard roll label stock (3″ core, up to 6″ OD) can be fed into a mini-roll printer from an external unwinder placed beside or behind the printer. The label web feeds through the rear feed slot rather than loading into the internal compartment, which lets you run larger, more economical rolls on a compact printer. Browse our label unwinders for compatible models, or browse the full standard roll size range for more material options.
